About me

Architect by profession, builder by nature.

My fascination with technology started long before my career did. As a kid I took things apart to understand how they work, and I started programming early because I wanted to build my own ideas, not just consume other people’s. That curiosity never left: Deep down, I still want to see the code running behind things, the green rain behind the surface, the way Neo first saw the Matrix for what it really was.

After finishing my Abitur, I studied Applied Computer Science in a dual program with IBM and graduated among the top 10% of my year. What followed were stations at IBM, Pegasystems, B4B Solutions, and Nagarro, where I grew from support engineer to developer, consultant, and finally Principal Technical Consultant and Solution Architect.

Today I design cloud architectures and AI solutions for enterprises. What I enjoy most is the moment when a complex problem becomes a clear, simple design that a team can actually build. Translating between business and technology is the part of the job I would not trade.

What matters to me

Clarity over complexity

Good architecture makes hard things simple, not the other way around. I aim for solutions a team can understand, run, and extend.

Honest advice

I would rather tell a client what they need to hear than what they want to hear. Trust is built on candor, not on slides.

Keep learning

Technology does not stand still, and neither do I. Currently that means going deep on agentic AI and everything around it.

A few recent client engagements from my day job, showing what this looks like in practice:

Credit insurance

Pre-sales: SAP BTP multi-tenant SaaS concept

Pre-Sales Technical Architect

Led workshops to capture a credit insurer’s business processes and integration needs, then designed a full SAP BTP multi-tenant SaaS architecture: Logging, object storage, SAP HANA DB, and a cloud connector to on-premises ERP. Built a demo-ready mockup with SAP CAP and Fiori Elements, using agentic coding for rapid prototyping, and presented the concept and technical documentation to support the acquisition.

Salesforce ↔ S/4HANA integration via REST & event-driven architecture

SAP Integration Architect

Designed the end-to-end SAP BTP architecture for a real-time Salesforce customer portal, giving customers live access to orders and invoices from S/4HANA on-premise. Built the central REST API in SAP Cloud Integration and an event-driven layer with SAP Event Mesh, an event proxy, and Salesforce’s Pub/Sub API.

SAP Service Cloud V2 implementation with S/4HANA Cloud integration

SAP Solution Architect

Took technical responsibility for architecture, solution design, and delivery of an SAP Service Cloud V2 rollout that digitalized and automated the client’s service processes. Built a custom UI5 extension app and integrated SuccessFactors and S/4HANA Cloud for seamless, automated data exchange, delivered on time, budget, and scope.

Off the clock

Work stays at the office. Everything else lives here:

Family life

I am a husband, a dad to a three-year-old daughter, and the owner of a dog named Dookie, who firmly believes he runs the household. These days, family always comes first.

Smart home & tinkering

Sensors, automations, self-built devices: My home is a small lab. Some experiments even survive contact with family life.

Tennis

My main sport and my favorite way to clear my head. A match now and then keeps the competitive spirit alive.

Traveling

International culture, food, and unfamiliar cities pull me in, Southeast Asia especially has my heart. I try to explore somewhere new whenever I get the chance.

AI & automation

Outside client work I still tinker with smart algorithms, home automations, and the occasional script that quietly saves me an hour a week.

Road cycling

When the weather plays along, I swap the racket for the road bike and explore the region on two wheels.
